Alia Anthony is a northern Idaho local who began her journey with fluid art in the spring of 2017. She grew up in Boise, Idaho for most of her childhood, and then relocated to central Louisiana for ten years where she attended college and earned a Bachelor’s in English. Once she got married to her husband, Lucien, they decided to return to Idaho to start their family. She now stays home to raise their daughter Luna while also attending graduate school online and creating fluid artwork in her home studio.
Her fluid artwork is made up primarily of alcohol ink and acrylic paint mixtures. While the process of putting paint to canvas is very quick with fluid art, the science, persistence and patience behind these creations is much more complex. Many hours of research and tampering have been put toward Alia’s fluid art recipes.
Alia takes commission of all sizes and then can even color match any wall paint for her acrylic pour process! Her fluid art journey can be seen through regular updates on Instagram @alleykatstudio.
