Nicolette is a watercolor artist who lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She is also a wife, mother of three amazing children and a pharmacist. When she was young she discovered that she had a love of art ... especially watercolors. Now as an adult she looks to the paintbrush for relaxation and personal expression.
She was inspired to start painting again in the fall of 2015 thanks to a friends photograph from a fly fishing trip. The smooth, colorful rocks of the Coeur d'Alene River and a fantastic colorful trout begged her to paint them in watercolor. That experience was an "awakening" for her and she has decided to take her art to a more specific subject ... the "flies" themselves.
Each painting is an original, just as every fly is an original. No two are ever the same. She enjoys working on a small, detailed scale and thinks in reality it is because the flies themselves are so small and beautiful.
Nicolette has collaborated with friend and frame maker Dave Barnes whose hand crafted, solid wood frames combine with her detailed creations make for one amazing unique piece of art.
